The Empowering Women Series was aired live on FB in conjunction with International Women’s Day 2023 as a special edition of our Purple Room live talk show.
We are the changemakers of this generation. This makes being informed on issues and current developments in the field a tool for all.
The aim was to provide a space for women to discuss important issues and hear from professionals in the field who can offer their insights and guidance on the best way to handle them.
A recap: The empowering series started off with financial expert, Elaine Kim on 15/3/23 who shared her valuable knowledge on how women can empower themselves financially. This was followed by an enlightening talk on enormous contributions of indigenous women in agriculture by Elizabeth Gimbad.
On the third episode of the Purple Room series, Dr Anasuya, an experienced and registered counsellor shared her expertise on how to lead a happier, healthier love life. A talk on women in business by social entrepreneur, business coach and digital marketing strategist, Roselin Das followed next. She shared the unique challenges faced by women in business and how to handle them skilfully.
The Purple Room continued with talk by seasoned activist, Manohara Subramaniam. She shed light on struggles and challenges of women exploring world of activism and how to overcome them. The series was concluded by pharmacist Nur Syafa with her insight on healthcare challenges faced by women and how to empower women to take charge of their health.
